There are three hydroelectric power stations located in East Kazakhstan. Unique structures were built at different times on the Irtysh River. Powerful hydrotechnical facilities provide the region with electricity and export it abroad.
Serebryanskaya, Ust-Kamenogorsk and Shulbinskaya hydroelectric power stations are a miracle of engineering, as well as very beautiful structures. It is clearly visible from a bird's eye view.
By the way, the body of the Ust-Kamenogorsk dam is considered the most durable in the world. Its operation is designed for 900 years.
At the end of this year, the fourth hydroelectric power station will be commissioned on the Turgusun River.
