This information will be of interest to all fans of an active lifestyle. Tourists, hunters, fishermen, beekeepers, soon you will have a loyal assistant of domestic assembly. A snowmobile from the ASIA AUTO Assembly plant is being tested in Ust-Kamenogorsk. Its design combines the functions of a Quad bike and a tractor, allowing you to overcome off-road, water and snow obstacles. The local content of new equipment exceeds 50%. Serial production of the all-terrain vehicle at the Ust Kamenogorsk enterprise will begin by the end of autumn.

The KB team started testing a four-wheeled tracked snowmobile. It allows you to replace five types of special equipment: ATV, tractor, swamp Walker, amphibian and snowmobile. By using this you can move in the most severe conditions of off-road, forest and swampy areas, on loose sand and snow. The car can accommodate from 6 to 8 passengers.

Currently, the plant's team is performing sea trials necessary to prepare for the start of serial production. The snowmobile must pass more than a thousand kilometers of resource tests to prove its full readiness for operation.

Ivan Puryaev, test driver:
- Tests in extreme conditions have confirmed the reliability of all mechanisms. The all-terrain vehicle easily copes with steep ascents and descents – up to 45 degrees, overcomes water obstacles, meter-long pits and deep ditches. Feels confident in deep snow.

Tests of the snowmobile were preceded by intensive work – creating design, search for partners - suppliers of components. Each part was subjected to tests. Working out the model, the best global practices was used.

Yevgeny Volgaev, head of the design Bureau of JSC "ASIA AUTO":

- The testing all-terrain vehicle has the qualities inherent in the character of the most hardy and reliable dog breed - the husky. The car is able to help in the most severe situation. Therefore, it will be produced under the HUSKY brand. We are sure that the new type of equipment for the plant will be in demand not only by outdoor enthusiasts. The all-terrain vehicle will be used in the work of professional emergency services and environmental agencies, and will be useful in agricultural and industrial areas. It is universal.

The local content of components of the HUSKY snowmobile exceeds 50%. The frame, boat, suspension elements, cable and wire products are manufactured in Kazakhstan. Other components are supplied from Russia, Germany, France and China.
The all-terrain vehicle has compact dimensions, light and durable body, easy operation and low fuel consumption. The design uses components and assemblies of the Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance, which ensures reliability and maintainability.
The frame structure can withstand high twisting and bending loads. The track cord contains a combination of textile and glass-filled materials.

Today, ASIA AUTO is developing two versions of the snowmobile-four-and five-wheeled with summer and winter cabins. By the end of 2020, calculations of the design of the extended six-wheel version of the HUSKY will be completed.
Prototypes are equipped with two variants of gasoline engines. The first is a 1.6-liter unit produced by AVTOVAZ JSC (106 HP), working in conjunction with the manual transmission. The second is a Renault engine with a volume of 2 liters and a power of 143 HP, equipped with an automatic transmission. In the future, it is planned to expand the line of power units.

Smooth running, compensating for vibrations and shock loads, is achieved thanks to an independent energy-intensive lever suspension. The ground clearance is 500 mm.
The all-terrain vehicle is equipped with a telematic security and service system «Bipek Contact» of own design. It was created also by the efforts of students of the East Kazakhstan University.

According to the company "ASIA AUTO", by the end of the year it is planned to certify and present the HUSKY snowmobile. The all-terrain vehicle will also be sold on the Russian market, in car centers of its own dealer network.
